If you have a good shop around you that rebuilds starters, gens, and alternators, they should be able to cross reference some parts. I know some guys have found the brushes and replaced those. Don't know about the starter gear though. As Lew said, maybe one of the sponsors can hook ya up. I just hope mine keeps spinning along forever (hey, it's worked for 36 years, why not 36 more
