Default cub cadet 1100

well i worked another cub i have never seen before. it was an 1100, a quiet-line. seems like it was built more like a jd 200 series than a typical IH. it had what appeared to be a peerless cast iron it transaxle instead of the famous IH cub rear. what i thought was weird was the drive-shaft that went into an intermediate gearbox that went to a belt that drove the trans-axle. why the shaft to a belt arrangement? seems like more of a pain to maintain. it also had a cast iron briggs 11hp, not a bad engine but i was surprised not to see a kohler k series. this machine seemed well built but no better than any other garden tractor at the time. it didnt seem to be built quite as well as the typical IH, which i consider to be more of a yard sized farm tractor than a typical garden tractor
