To add what scoobie said, I think there are 2 different stops. I had the wrong one on my 782 one time and the pivot arm #24 was hitting the flat part of the stop causing it to move. With the correct one, the pivot arm hit the round part of the stop. There's no way it should move it then. If you have the correct one, spin it til the arm #24 will hit the round part at the desired height then tighten it down. What do you mean when you say the lift cylinder is hitting the stop when the cylinder is on the inside of the frame and the stop is on the outside.

Okay. I'm setup with the flat part of the stop making contact with the pivot arm. I'll try to set it up with the rounded part making contact.
