Well today i look around for some parts for the 106,i found a Kohler piston and ring kit for $50,and i think a rod for $20 or less.The guy i am getting the parts from is giving the stuff to me for half price,so since the old K241 is getting tired im just going to do it and get it ready for summer.The guy also has gaskets and stuff too,so i think im set for everything i need.
Heres what im working with,i hope to get the parts in a little while,i kinda like to mow with the manual trans now and then,plus it has flawless steering
but i need to get the brakes working good,because we have a lot of hills,and i dont like to grind the gears,you guys ever try to shim between the pad and cam? Im open to any suggestions/tips on the rebuild and brakes.This is only my second time into a k241.
