I pulled the crank to get a better look at the block. Flywheel was extremely hard to get off. Gave up and left puller on over night. Gave the end of the puller a slight tap and off it popped.

The crank journal looks ok. The cam appears ok. ACR springs and operation seemed ok. Governor gear looked ok but would have replaced anyway. I don't see any other case damage. Before pulling the crank I checked the cam and balance gear timing just out of curiosity. Cam timing seemed correct but the balance gears didn't. I know most say to pull the balance gears anyway. Piston was marked 10 over.

As as option I'm going to start looking for a block or engine. I can keep this one for parts for now.
