I believe you are right, the carb was pretty crusty inside I didn't think I could ever have gotten the small holes in the jet clean. I should have checked if the jet was available first never thought it wouldn't be I have done other carbs on motorcycles no problem there. It's gonna be a live and learn experience for sure.
