I do not know what an older machine costs across the big pond but here in the states you can get something like this for around $2500 and it has a cat 1 hitch with 540 rear pto.

2000 RPM isn't too hard to find, especially in France and Germany.

Across the pond, used machines are much more expensive compared to what we are used to; even with high hours, they fetch a pretty penny over there. To get something used at the prices you're talking about, it would be in very, very rough shape. You don't realize how easy we have it here on this side of the Atlantic with used or new equipment prices
