basically is your roll pin too long on the COUPLING ASSEMBLY-DRIVEN? or is it not fully inserted in the bore

there is a rolled pin that holds the COUPLING ASSEMBLY-DRIVEN on the input shaft of the transaxle- are you sure this is not obstructing the COLLAR-SHIFTER from fully engaging? the roll pin can not extend into the minor diameter of the gear- this will interfer with the teeth of the COLLAR-SHIFTER and not allow proper engagement.
