Howdy, I have a 2018 XT1 LT50 with a Kohler 7000 series 24 hp motor. While mowing, it stopped running. The starter will turn over the engine, but it will not run unless starter fluid or gas is externally placed in the carburator. I later found a fuel leak in the gas tank, and replacec everything from the gas tank to and including the carburator.
The headlights will only come on with the ignition in the "start" position. The headlights will not come on with the ignition in the "run 1" or "run 2" position. The battery is fully charged. The fuse is good. The Ignition has been replaced. I have performed an ohms test of the ignition switch, and confirmed it is working as per the specifications.

When measuring voltage at the ignition switch I have 12v to the Orange wire (S) on the switch at all times. When in start postion at the switch I have 9.7v to the red wire (B) & red wire (A1), and 7.8v to white wire (A2), 16.9v- 21v to yellow wire (M). With the ignition in Run 1 and Run 2 postion, there is only voltage to the orange wire (S).

The wire to the carburator has 9.7v in the start position only.
The spark plugs and magneto are gapped properly and clean.

If the relay beside the engine (HFV6 012ZS-TR) is unplugged, it still operates the same as with it plugged in. I am about to order a new relay, just to continue throwing parts at the problem.

The starter was destroyed, stuck in start position. I replaced the starter and solenoid.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found broken wires at the ignition plug, so I cut out the plug, and connected the wires to the back of the ignition. Everything works properly now.
