The factory procedure for removing and replacing the heavy 60" mowing deck seems like an afterthought; the lifting linkages don't go down far enough to remove all stresses making linkage pin removal and replacement difficult. I have SX54 Z-force, and the deck is a royal PIA to remove. As the front of the deck will not clear the front tires so I have to lift it slightly. The Steering wheel Zero Turns I agree; it seems like deck removal was an afterthought
