I'm a native Buckeye, relocated to Maine and lovin retired life.
Found an AGS 2130 on MarketPlace and dragged it home yesterday. It doesn't look like it was abused much at all. A soggy day today so she's on the trailer until I'm ready to tinker. In a previous life I flung wrenches for the USAF so not much scares me on this new/old bird. Finding manuals at the CC site is an exercize in frustration tho. This model doesn't come up in any search there.
I found this forum while searching for info and another member has a similar problem finding anything (at the CC site) for this model # (136-212F100) and yes the tag has a dash in place of the F. And could they have found a more inconvenient spot for the Kohler data tag? The tag DOES say it meets ANSI Stds for 1995-1998 so the year of Mfg is a fair guess now.
Ok, end rant.
-Very little rust with the paint and tin in really good condition so I'm guessing it was kept under cover most of her life.
-The deck was off, but looks ok. Just needs belts.
-Don't know why, but the air filter(s) and covers are MIA as well. All above ordered.
-The battery was dead but the tractor started with my jump pack and we drove it onto the trailer. Battery was showing about 10.5 VDC when I pulled it (yeah, I know) and brought it in to charge. Rain on the way and didn't want to kill another charger. A few hours at 10A then rested overnight and it seems ok, held at 12.5 VDC this morning. Keeping it on tickle charger for the day to hopefully revive it. Replacements at TSC are $50 so no biggie there.
Soon's the belts and air intake parts get here, I'll see about pulling some solid PM on her then giving her a good bath and op check. Found a printed Owner's Manual on ebay so might pull the trigger on that. Its cheaper than printing a PDF file for it.
Guess that'll do for now, hope to learn what I can here and maybe help someone else on down the line.
