Sorry, I don't get back to this forum very often. I actually just sold my Grizzly two weeks ago. I was sorry to see it go but I needed something that was better suited for plowing so I picked up a 2011 Ranger.
I pretty much explained the mods that were required. Notching the frame allows the clutch to be removed and the belt to be changed without removing the engine. Cutting a hole in the side shielding is required to clear the end of the clutch. I used a long straight edge to align the clutch sheaves. (actually an old chainsaw bar...lol). The secondary clutch was near the end of the shaft but the shaft still had enough meat to grab the end of shaft support bracket.
I think the only improvement with the clutch would be to go with heavier weights in the primary clutch to engage the drive at a lower RPM.

I also have a spare axle shaft for sale if anyone needs one. I broke an axle a couple years ago and had two shafts made as both sides were identical and were no longer available anywhere.
