No not the same, the 782's have a powered (I) terminal to provide the coil with power in "on" ---- "on with lights" , and start positions,-- no power in off position.
Those with magnetos, connect the magneto wire to ground to stop the engine.
And your positions will be: "off"---- "on" with lights--- "on"---- and start positions.
A "WILL FIT" ign switch will give you problems/not work.
