I wouldn't worry about the overall weight, as some guys liquid fill their rear tires and use external weights. Cub Cadet offered 75lb weights on some of their tractors, so I don't see an issue with their use, as long as they are for 12" wheels, and they have the same bolt pattern that matches up with the wheels.
