Default Hydro Trunnion Spring Shimming.

The trunnion control arm was badly worn, so I welded and resized that. While looking for spring specs, I came across a thread where Sam Mac used an exhaust flange spring which was shorter but stiffer. He shimmed the difference. My springs are exactly stock spec as is the arm. Sam Mac concluded that the hydro was much more controllable on inclines and varying loads with the stiffer main spring.

I’m just wondering if I should put a thin spacer on both ends of the spring(s) Maybe just the large one?
