I live in the South, and I have O'Reilly compatible Hy-Tran, and it works fine in my 125. In fact, the guys here on the forum helped me with a hydrostat reverse issue, and it was the linkage. It’s just as strong in reverse as forward, and no “whining” from the transmission. I even run Rotella 15W40 in the newly rebuilt Kohler.
