We had a huge turnout at the fair, and a great time. I would guess there was close to 100 tractors for this event. My class alone had 15 tractors, which is usually only about 6 or 8.

I drew the last number, so I was up last on my first hook. Pulled 88.72’ and 1st place was about 100’. Not sure where I finished, but probably about middle of the pack.

I was up first for the 2nd hook and pulled 71.31’. I dropped back to 3rd and pulled 70.66’. I was pretty upset I didn’t take the first one, until I saw the other tractors struggling to get past about 60’. I ended up getting beaten by the last tractor, a Wheelhorse, at 72 and change feet. I was sad to see that blue ribbon slip through my hands but happy that my tractor was competitive.

There are two events left, but I won’t be able to make the September pull. Next one won’t be until October. I think I’m going to do a little painting on the tractor between now and then. We’ll see how the schedule and weather work out.
