ricks, sorry to hear about that.
This tractor is fully operational and would probably start first pull right now if I wanted. Since restoring it, I don't do much with it. I rebuilt the deck but haven't used it because I have 9 other mowers that I feel a lot better about getting dirty. I have pushed a little snow with the non-trip blade and use it to pull a grass sweeper and misc stuff like that. I really like the whole "not needing a battery" anytime you want to use it though.
georg, the Originals only had brakes on the left side anyway. That's normal and usually stops the tractor just fine. Just keep it in mind before going downhill with a big trailer of stuff or something because that wheel can and will slide. Any lawn and garden battery will turn the motor over on those little things as long as the SG is working right. I usually go with a higher CA battery just for luxury, but the small ones do just fine.
