LEDs are brighter, but if you are working with snow or ice, then they do not melt it off. If you can get some heat off of the engine, then it is not a problem, but if the wind is blowing, then you may find limited visibility from them as opposed to incandescent lights. My truck has LEDs and now I know why the previous owner put a long light bar on the front of it. Just like anything else, it has its own purpose.
