I’m Craig I live in North Eastern IL in the Quad Cities.

Long story short.

I have a 1976 Cub Cadet 1250 Hydro Manual Lift with 42” mover deck and 42” snowblower.

This was purchased new by my father and gifted to me 12-15 years ago. I grew up using this tractor. I practically learned to drive on this thing.

It’s all original engine with 1 overhaul in its lifespan. Even think it still has the original rear tires on it.

I used it up till about 10 years ago when I moved from Central IL to my home now. The only issue is my lawn was much smaller and did not need the large tractor I had. I left and stored it at my fathers farm in the barn for the last 10 years.

I love this tractor and actually loved snow blowing with it regardless of the manual lift. I just recently made the decision to go get it and bring it back home and revive it back to its former glory along with my two sons.

I’ve been sourcing parts that I know I need and have been reading pages of info here to learn more about it and fixing it back up as my father was the one fixing it.

I have high hopes and dreams of a hydraulic lift for this as I’m not as young as I used to be and that’s my challenge to start with a non ported hydro pump. And I’m looking for options. I actually acquired the complete lift system but now to find a donor pump locally. If I'm reading these pages right I should be able to swap in a 1450 hydro pump with no issues. ( please help if I'm wrong)

That’s a wish list item I just need to get this up and running first. It’s home and I’ve started cleaning 10 years of barn dirt off it and charged that battery. No gas of course. Manually turn over the motor and no issues. Shot a little oil down the cylinder before that. Checked the plug no issues.

Next day battery charged. Just wanted to see her turn over. Yep just like I left it. No spark at the moment and that’s my 1st thing to start digging into.

Now I was curious and told a photo of my serial and oddly im not finding my model listed as others are.

Can anyone help me confirm my information.
