Agree. Did exactly that on my 100 and I expect the teaser to outlast me. Just pulled the clutch out of my 106 today and surprise, surprise! The teaser spring was broken there too. That, and the throw-out bearing was missing 5+ ball bearings...

I rooted around in the barn and found a spare, so all is good there.
