I got the other twin running. Mice chewed through one stator wires. Started right up. Not know the real history of the machine, I followed the static timing tech article in the tech library. I used the rebuild article for turns out on the carb. I also used the wiring diagram to trace wires and used the stator and coil resistance articles also. Thanks much to those that contribute!

Now not to compare children, but the new older external brake model I just got running has definite gear noise coming from the rear. The drive flange on the trans is sloppy the shaft sticking out of the trans is tight. The drive shaft wobbles ⅛" maybe a lil more. New flex disc joint. I will check lube levels tomorrow.
