Jack the front end up enough for the wheels to be off the ground.
Then turn the steering wheel full left/right with the engine running.
Do you get full/normal turns?
you should, as there is no resistance on the cylinder.
If not, disconnect the rod end of the cyl, and manually turn the wheels with your hands to see if you have a mechanical reason they do not go full left to right.
if they turn normally when turning manually, you prolly do have a cyl that is defective.
No sense replacing a cyl if you have a mechanical problem.
