Why Yes, Yes I do.
I found this thread last fall and finally got around to trying the finger on the spring thing. YEP! sure enough the surge stopped.
I have had this same issue with my 2182, for way longer
than 3 years, very irritating/frustrating,
as Sam mentioned.
But I wanted to first and foremost, thank Sam for posting this.
And second, bring this threadout from the weeds, in the hope that it might help somebody else out.
