maybe theres one missing from someone who needed one or a failed rebuild.
maybe the block i have is missing one..
the bearing plate from the block was used somewhere else and they lost a bolt from the block and didnt replace it..
maybe someone over tighten one and broke it off. i get the block and have to replace it..
maybe someone not knowing motors tryin to learn and was told one thing and it wasnt rite. so block was good but they took it apart and lost bolts. they gave up maybe ..
many many reasons..
for me... i like to have xtras of things. bein prepaired and ready for anything.
