Hopefully I don't get banned for posing such a blasphemous question here. Any of you guys ever use both the Cub qa36 or qa42 snowthrower, as well as a John Deere Model 49 Snow thrower?

Reason I ask is because I have the opportunity to acquire a John Deere 300 from my dad. The price is right, but it's got a sweeper on it, not a snowthrower.

I currently have a Cub 1450 with a QA42A. It does ok, but I'm always looking around.

So my question, is a series 49 John Deere thrower similar, worse, or better in any way than the qa series? I'm willing to bet the John Deere 300 would be an upgrade to my current 1450. The 300 has a K341 Kohler as opposed to my K321, a much nicer custom cab on it, as well as hydraulic output port up front that I don't have on my cub.

I'd have to go and find a used 49 Series if I did take the John Deere, so I'm just questioning if its worth the effort, or if they are largely the same as the QA series.
