You didn't ask but...................
I'd verify it really isn't working. If it isn't working, it's problem not getting 12v or it's gummed up.
The fix? Get 12 volts to it or remove the solenoid and clean it up and re-install it.
I've fooled with a lot of them and only had one that was corroded so bad I couldn't clean it reliably.
When you get the top off the carb, remove the solenoid and idle jet and you can blow all the passages out with compressed air.
