I'll be doing the exact same thing to a 582, hopefully after I restore the 100 that's half apart in the garage. Anyway, I'll use extend and tee the drain hole to use as the pickup, and I'm going to drill a hole in the shifter plate and weld in a little threaded bung to put the return in. I could be wrong, but somewhere I thought I read that that's where the return is for some of the Cub Lo-Boys with hydraulics.
