Default Time for a New Idler Pulley

Mowing with my CCC 782 yesterday. Going along great and got to the last strip of the mow; 6" wide and about 20' long. Smelled something funky like very hot metal and as I turned to hit that last strip, off popped my idler pulley.

It was so hot, the center bearing and (2) side rings were literally smoking in the grass. I immediately shut off the PTO and stopped the mower. Got off, went into the barn and got a glove on and a metal container, returning to collect my deposit.

Pulled the mule drive off and removed the remaining hardware and the other pulley.

Ordered (2) new idler pulleys. Should be here by next weekend. Finished mowing with the other mower.
