The dip stick length on my 1782 is 13 1/2"and the dip stick tube is 11 1/2".

The dip stick on my 1872 is 11 1/4" and the tube is 9 1/2".

(that's measuring the dip stick from the base of the cap to the bottom)
(and the tube from the top rim to the trans case, in stalled)
The full mark on both are 1 inch from the bottom.
