I am not an engineer or expert. I was brainstorming on putting an oil cooler on a k-series Kohler.
Looking for pros and cons...
Could I use a mechanical fuel pump to pump oil through an oil cooler?
Perhaps by placing an NPT fitting in the sump of an oil pan, route it to the "fuel" pump, then back out to an oil cooler, then from the oil cooler to an NPT fitting on the block?
One major question...is the pump strong enough for oil?
Again, just brain storming......
