When I finally build a 124 my plan is to replace the box under the seat with springs from a newer Cub and then use a regular seat. If you've never had a Cub with a solid mounted seat I can tell you it's a pain (literally) to use it for a long period of time. I had a 122 I restored and it would beat the crap out of me while mowing, I sold it and started using the 108 and it was much better.

I'm not sure what the 104 will become yet. Maybe a full resto. In that case I probably wont use it much for mowing or work. I like the way the seat looks on it but like you said, probably give ya hemorrhoids lol. Bit what do you think if a resto is done? Would you still change it?
