not just today but the last few
Well, my son and I worked on our cubs the last few days and got them both running. Both were barn finds and not running. Mine is a 105 and was in pieces his is a 1650. His was complete but not able to turn the motor over by hand. He soaked it for a day or two with some oil and it freed right up. We both thought that was a good sign. He got it running but it was making noise. Before he could shut it down it threw the rod. Damage was mineable and he already has the machine shop working on it. The 105 is together and I put in new points, condenser, coil,Plug and wire. I did rebuild the carb with new Kohler parts. It started right up but ran a little rough. A quick search on here and I adjusted the timing and now it purrs like a kitten.
It drives real well and must say I am hooked on these little tractors. I made a list of what I need to finish and have started buying them from the sponsors of this site. I have done tons of reading on this forum and have learned so much. I plan on taking lots of pictures of the rebuild and post them up.
I really haven't even started to work on this one and find myself looking to get an original. I think I might have a problem!
