That paint works well. If you go to their website it says that if you have bare metal that you should use primer that's what I did I used a automotive primer and the paint covered well. I also put some auto body heat lamps on It for a few hours but the parts I did not do that to took about 48 hours to cure good. You will probably want to wait at least a week before using the gas tank. I also painted a piece of metal that once the 1 week recommended dry time before recoat time is up I am going to try and clear coat and see how that works too.
