I had mentioned in another thread I rebuilt the transmission in my truck and after getting it all back together, the pump never primed.  Several of you guys wanted to know the outcome.  Here is what I found.
Just to recap, this is a 4L80E in a 1991 Chevrolet K2500 with a 350.  Yes, I like Chevrolet trucks, and I bought this one 18 months ago, and it was exactly what I was looking for.  For the record, I also like Dodge diesels, but I sold both the ones I had and went back to a gas Chevy.  
Anyway, it wasn't my fault.  Pump was together right.  New reman pump..... but it wasn't machined right I don't think.  Pump ring gear is stuck, and it shattered the center gear.  Someone owes me a pump and a converter, and maybe an input shaft.  I'll call them tomorrow.   You can't really see it, but in the last pic the ring gear is cracked.
