Yes, theres the top thats what, about a inch or so thick? Along that seam between it and the block, more on the block side about a 1/4 in hieght about 2 inches long on the generator side is a thick dark residue, wich to me smells like old dry oil. The reason I am hesitating is because at this point, I have three hundred into the 1315 and it has been my main mower all summer long. I have had to put in new lift brackets and a new bigger motor out of a different tractor when the old one threw a rod. So my hesitation is now it is going well and has a strong tranny in it. What will come of this GT? I could get it, all seem good, then first time useing it all heck break loose. Then I only have one mower to mow with. Granted the mowing season is just about over and most customers are leaving for other parts of the world already. I will already have one LT with a plow on it for the winter and then this with a plow for the winter, so its not so important. However, my unemployment runs out next month and I still dont have a job yet, so I need to be hestitant. But, I am very eager to get a rougher tougher (hopefully) GT! Granted I know I love my two LT's (sorry you GT die hards LOL). But yes I have always wanted a nice older tractor after selling the old wheel horse 654 several moons ago and wanted something tougher like the old Bolens 1050 I used to have and I am of course, a big cub fan is why I own 4 of them right now. ( had to let the one in parts go) So thats why I be asking. LOL. I will have to see what kind of deal he really wants as I am hesitant to trade the LT and a bunch of other stuff to him for that as I know come spring, that LT will sell for honestly what that GT is really worth now! To me, it should be more of a even swap! So, stay tuned. One thing I think I will do this weekend after I get my legs back from the cortozone shot today will be take the 16 HP brigs off of the 1315 and put it on the 805 and put the 12HP briggs onto the 1315. Also swap out the rear ends since the 805 has slipped a little earlier this summer. That way I will know the 805 will be ready for some good white stuff! LOL.
