Some of the guys here who REALLY know how to tune a Kohler may may have different views, but my experience is:
They're all a little different from each other. For the ones that I know need choke, I turn the key, as soon as the engine turns, I pull the choke out and push it right back in, that usually does it. I have some that start before the engine has turned a complete revolution, others aren't quite as quick to fire up.
