Yes, it has to be palletized (not necessarily a wooden pallet, just a shipping "device") for Fastenall to ship it. Yes, it will fit on a pallet.
If the owner is an old man and won't do it, you better get your checkbook out. From Tennessee to New York, even through Fastenall, will likely be in the neighborhood of $300, maybe a bit more. Then pay someone to palletize it.... Should have worked out shipping details with the old man BEFORE purchasing it.
