Sam, your former Ford truck must have been pretty good with that 351 e.f.i ! I know about those truly, and my friend has the 95 Ford Lightning model, same short bed, was the first edition of the make!
I agree about the 300c.i inline 6. And that's what I stand by as being better built than today's stuff. My 300 in my 82 f-100 purrs like a kitten still to this day. Simple, yet proven!
My other friend has the smaller 6x6 and we snagged some nice fire wood with it. I think we got like 3 miles per gallon in 6x6, though. Keep up the good work on your ford!
