Well I surveyed the situation today. And things could be much worst, and a whole lot better also.
Threaded a bolt in each of the attachment holes, and they tightened up. I put as much "mustard" on them as I could, and no slippage. Go figure...
This ole girl was rode hard. This is why the patch was welded on the outside. Took one hell of a break. This is prolly why the trans mount was broke also.
Talked with the machinist today that fixed the started mount on my KT in the 782, and he said he could fix it.So I'll have him weld up the mount, after I clean it better.
I see in the frame, two holes are wallowed out from being loose would be my guess. But why the frame and not the diff? Don't like the looks of those two "supports" he made and welded on. Any ideas? Weld the holes shut and re-drill? (last picture)Here's where I left off...
