Most will recommend that you fill the tires and add wheel weights, when you hang a weight box on the back it puts unnecessary stress on the axles and bearing but with filled tires and wheel weights no stress is added. I can usually find the cement filled plastic weights on Craigslist for dirt cheap, they range from 30 to 75lbs each so try to find a set of heavy ones and call it a job.
