Jay I had the same problem when I fried my harness (orginal not the porch) I had it wired up wrong. Make sure that the VR is wired up right. Make sure that you can read the VR where it's stamped on the leads. For my 122 the wiring diagram was labeled wrong.

Make sure that the Starter/Generator is hooked up per the wiring diagram.
That's what I had to do to fix mine for my 122. They use the same VR and Starter/Generator.
