I bought my 147 in a similar manner....the PO didn't know about maintenance of the PTO so he just kept on turning the turnbuckle- once the fiber button disintegrated it ate into the throwout levers and eventually gernaded the bearing underneath, throwing the PTO off the engine completely. The solution to fix it was to sell it.
