Carb probably needs to be cleaned. Just to see if it will fire, pull the air cleaner and dribble a little gas down the throat and crank it. If it fires and then stops when you stop dribbling the gas then you'll know you simply have a fuel issue. Since it sat I'd bet the carb is a mess.
