I went today and looks at the mower. It is definitely not as clean as my current mower. There is no saving the seat. It has 868 hours on it. The hoods was in good shape, but the side panels were a little rough and a peice missing out of one of them. The metal rear fender has 2 good size holes in it as someone had mounted a tool box to it at sometime and then took it off. Tires were about new. Oil looked good. We hooked a jumper box up to it but it didn't want to start. You could tell it had compression as it wasn't spinning freely and you could hear it. I also looked at the plow and it looked like it could be missing a thing or two.

Is it still worth $300 as rough as it is and not knowing why it won't start? My buddy said he put some new gas in it, new fuel filter, and thought that the "vacuum fuel pump" had been changed too. He said when it was running it was sounding like it was choking itself out. I don't have extra room inside right now so it would probably have to be stored outside under a tarp for the time being when I'm not working on it in the garage.

Also any ideas on why it might not be running?
