Not to dispute Georg or start any arguments, but I have heard a lot of bad things about those Firestone tri-rib tires. People have mentioned that they weather check in less than a year in some cases with very little sun exposure. I don't think they are actually made by Firestone but in Vietnam by a company that bought some molds from Firestone. Sounds to me like they didn't get the rubber compound quite right. I decided to buy these Vredestein V61 tires instead for my 782D, and so far I think they're wonderful. Everyone I know that has them loves them.
