Since the 107 is a Narrow Frame model of a tractor, you will have to crawl underneath and look for this.

As an educated guess, the reason you had to pull up hard was probably due to the Relief Valve "pins" being dirty and/or dry. Clean them up and use some PB Blaster and make sure the pins have free travel.

The Manual Relief Valve looks like the one on the RH of the attached image.
