I think you have chosen wisely.
It's only Grand Pa's tractor to you, to someone else it's just another Original, or worse, it could get parted out.
Keep in mind that you don't have to get all Ramboed up for this project, you can break it down into small bite sized pieces if that makes it easier for you.
Although there are those here who couldn't care less about an Original, there are a lot of us here who really like our "O's", you will get tons of help here from some people who are eager to help and who REALLY know what their talking about if you need it.
Post pictures and ask questions, then post pictures of your progress and you'll be "one of the guys" in no time.
