Looking good Steve... I've been there done that many times on the getting in too deep part!! 
That's what happens when you try to fix something right and the previous owners didn't care or were patch artists!! 
But when you are done, somebody will have a nice tractor!!
I'd be tempted to keep it!! I have that problem too often!!
