The pre 1980s bikes are more desirable (to me) because in the 80s the factory closed in Chicago and the bikes were either made in Mississippi or many of them were repainted frames bought from overseas companies like Giant or Panasonic. This particular bike frame was made by hand, not on a welding machine like a Varsity/Sting ray etc.
I'm not a fan of the yellow tires. Those are going to go bye bye.
